PONDAROSA (Yash Narredu) jumped out slow losing considerable ground at the start. Trainer Vinesh has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trails, before next accepting to race. After the race, Jockey S.A.Amit (HI HO SILVER) reported that his mount was inclined to run out in the initial stages of the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. After the race, GOLDEN HIND and HI HO SILVER were trotted and found to be sound.
Soon after the start, MYGRATOR (P.S.Chouhan, dr.5) shifted in on to GOVERNOR GENERAL (P.Trevor, dr.4) forcing him inwards on to CELTIC PRINCE (App.K.Nazil, dr.3) who was tightened for room and had to be checked. Jockey P.S.Chouhan has been cautioned. After the race, CELTIC PRINCE was trotted and found to be sound. The Equine Hospital reported that CAMBRIDGE had left eye injury (sore eye).

In process of rolling behind the gates, ABRAXAS (App.P.S.Kaviraj) reared up and dislodged its rider. The filly was examined by the Club’s Sr.VO who certified her fit to race. At the start, DANCE EMPEROR (App.K.Pranil, dr.2) jumped out awkwardly thereby unbalancing the rider, due to which App.K.Pranil lost his left stirrup and was dislodged. Due to this incident, ABRAXAS (App.P.S.Kaviraj, dr.3) was inconvenienced. Passing 800 metres, MINE THAT BIRD (S.A.Amit) was observed to shift out and thereafter shift-in in order to avoid the rider-less horse, DANCE EMPEROR. Due to this, KINGSTON HEATH (A.Imran Khan) was tightened for room and had to be steadied. After the race, SPEEDO was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind pastern and FIREWINGS had lost its left fore shoe. LESREL was found to be sound in the trot. The Equine Hospital reported that DANCE EMPEROR had right eye injury (lacrimation, corneal ulcer and opacity).

GLORIOUS EYES (C.S.Jodha) jumped out slow losing about a length at the start. Passing 400 metres, Jockey T.S.Jodha (SUSSEX PRIDE ) was observed to have lost his whip. On being questioned after the race, Jockey T.S.Jodha stated that his whip got entangled with the mane. This being his first instance of whip loss during the current Pune Meeting 2018, no action has been initiated. After the race, GLORIOUS EYES was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. After the race, ZENON was trotted and found to be sound. The gelding was subsequently scoped at the Equine Hospital and found to be EIPH (Gr.III). The gelding is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. After the race, ZANARA was trotted and found to be sound.

Soon after the start, MASTEROFBALANTRAE (S.Zervan) shifted in and went across GREY FLANNEL (App.P.Vinod) who had to be steadied. Jockey S.Zervan has been cautioned. Approaching 1100 metres, NEMBE GREEK (A.Sandesh) shifted out thereby tightening MASTEROFBALANTRAE (S.Zervan) and forcing it outwards on to LA MAGNIFIQUE (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey A.Sandesh has been cautioned. Approaching 200 metres, MASTEROFBALANTRAE (S.Zervan) shied inwards due to the close proximity of LA MAGNIFIQUE (Neeraj Rawal) thereby tightening and inconveniencing NEMBE GREEK (A.Sandesh). After the race, NEMBE GREEK was observed to have lost its right fore shoe. The Equine Hospital reported that JUGGERNAUT had left eye injury (sore eye) and GOD’S OWN had injuries to both the eyes (sore eyes).
