At the start, SUDARSHAN CHAKRA (Bhawani Singh, dr.15) jumped outwards on to SARRAZIN (Amyn Merchant, dr.16). Soon after the start, AME (S. Joseph) shifted in and at the same time KALINA (Kishore Kadam) shifted out thereby tightening and unbalancing FASHIONABLE GAIT (D. A. Naik). Thereafter, BROOKLYN BRIDGE (N. B. Kuldeep) and KALINA (Kishore Kadam) were observed to have jostled. After questioning all concerned, Jockeys S. Joseph and Kishore Kadam have been fined Rs.2,000/- each. After the race, Jockey Sandeep Jadhav (ITS A DEAL) reported the loss of whip at about 200 metres. This being his first offence, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-. After the race, Jockey J. E. Pereira (ATOMIC) reported the loss of whip approaching the 200 metres, This being his first offence he has been fined Rs.5,000/-. After the race, Jockey H. Zeeshan (REGAL SHOT) reported that his mount hung out throughout the race. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of SNOW BLAST and a report will be submitted shortly. After the race, ATOMIC was found to be sore by the left fore leg. Also, the gelding had an abrasion at the left fore cannon. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. After the race, SNOW BLAST was observed to have an abrasion at the left nostril. REGAL SHOT, ADAM’S CREATION, BROOKLYN BRIDGE and FASHIONABLE GAIT (examined on 28/07/2017) were trotted and found to be sound.

Approaching 900 metres, TRAHERNE (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in due to which LONDON (Prashant P. Dhebe) who was racing on its haunches, had to be checked and change course thereby inconveniencing WINTER RENAISSANCE (C. S. Jodha) who had to be steadied. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned. Approaching 200 metres, LONDON (Prashant.P. Dhebe) shifted out thereby inconveniencing STARISTOCRAT (Yash Narredu) who was steadied. Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe has been cautioned. After the race, STARISTOCRAT and LONDON were trotted and found to be sound. STARISTOCRAT and PALATIAL had an abrasion at both the hind fetlock.

At the request of Jockey Dashrath Singh, the saddle on his mount EIGER’S TIGER was adjusted at the starting gate. SMART CHOICE (D. A. Naik) refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts. As such, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Vijay Kasbekar has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Passing 900 metres, DARK GOLD (R. Ajinkya) dropped back and at the same time FURIOUS N’ FAST (A. Imran Khan) leaned inwards, due to which DOMINATION (Yash Narredu) had to be checked. Approaching 800 metres, ROYAL ACE (M. A. Roushan) shifted in and went across DOMINATION (Yash Narredu) who had to be steadied. Passing 400 metres, FURIOUS N’ FAST (A. Imran Khan) shifted in and made contact with PRINCESS ATHENA (S. J. Sunil). Jockey A. Imran Khan has been cautioned. Jockey A. Imran Khan (FURIOUS N’ FAST) has been fined Rs. 3,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount. At the start, PRINCESS P (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.15) jumped inwards and brushed the haunches of GOD’S OWN (Dashrath Singh, dr.14). Approaching 800 metres, CRYSTAL BALL (A. Imran Khan) shifted in thereby forcing NAME OF THE GAME (D. A. Naik) inwards on to WAY AHEAD (S. Sunil) who had to be checked. Jockey A. Imran Khan has been cautioned. Approaching 600 metres, SPORTO (D. R. Shubham) was observed to have drifted out and carried DAZZLING DOLL (S. J. Sunil) outwards. In the final stages of the race, BULLION EXPRESS (N. Nadeem) shifted in thereby tightening NAME OF THE GAME (D. A. Naik) along the rails. Jockey N. Nadeem has been cautioned. The saddle on SPORTO (D. R. Shubham) was observed to have slipped during the race. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge. Jockey S. Sunil (WAY AHEAD) reported the loss of his whip passing the 100 metres. On questioning, he stated that the whip slipped out of his hand. This being his first offence, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-. After the race, FIREBOLT was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. After the race, NAUMEE and FERNEBACHE were trotted and found to be sound.

At the request of Trainer Faisal A. Abbas, HELLS BELLS was examined at 1145 hours on 25/07/2017 and was found to have a capped elbow and was sore by the right fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. After being stalled, PERFECT BALANCE (A. Imran Khan) got fractious and stood in an awkward position. As such, the filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified her fit to race. DOUBLEDOWN (S. Mosin) and VICTORIANA (Yash Narredu) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths each at the start. Passing 900 metres, STAR ANISE (C. S. Jodha) shifted in on to VICTORIANA (Yash Narredu) who had to be checked. Jockey C. S. Jodha has been cautioned. After the race, VICTORIANA was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind fetlock. MAGIC DUST and ASCENSION were trotted and found to be sound.

TRIPLE THREAT (App. Raj Pawar) jumped out slow losing about 2 lengths at the start. At the start, MINSTREL HEIGHTS (K. Nazil, dr.14) jumped out awkwardly. At the start, DOUBLE NINE (Yash Narredu, dr.6) jumped outwards and at the same time MERABELLA (M. A. Roushan, dr.7) jumped inwards and they made contact. Soon after the start, SHAOQING (App. Vishal. N. Bunde) was inconvenienced due to a tightly packed field. An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of SKYMINE and a report will be submitted shortly. The Sr. V.O. reported that TRIPLE THREAT was examined in trot at the stables in the morning on 28/07/2017 and found to be sore by the right fore leg Also, the filly had bruised right fore cannon and had lost her left hind shoe. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. After the race, SKY MINE, IRISH BAILEY (examined on 28/07/2017) and SHAOQING (examined on 28/07/2017) were trotted and found to be sound.

At the request of Trainer Adil Dajee, THE BIG REVIVAL was examined on 26/07/2017 and was found to have left fore tendinitis and was sore by the left fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. At the start, PETRONIUS (Neeraj Rawal, dr.6) jumped outwards and at the same time HUNAYN (J. Pradeep, dr.10) shifted in thereby tightening MILWALKEE (T. S. Jodha, dr.7), VITESSE (N. Nadeem, dr.8) and APPLE BETTY (Bhawani Singh, dr.9). Soon after the start, SILVER EDGE (Sandeep Jadhav, dr.11) leaned inwards and made contact with HUNAYN (J. Pradeep, dr.10) Approaching 600 metres, APPLE BETTY (Bhawani Singh) shifted out and went across UNTITLED (Hanumant Singh) who was also inclined to shift out. On questioning after the race, Jockey Hanumant Singh (UNTITLED) stated that his mount hung out throughout the race. Trainer H. J. Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. After the race, SILVER RIVER was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. The Sr. V.O. reported that PROMINENCE was examined in trot at the stables in the morning on 28/07/2017 and found to be sore by the right fore leg The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race. After the race, PETRONIUS was trotted and found to be sound. HUNAYN had a gum injury. The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd, 4th, 6th & 7th race, viz. JUGGERNAUT, FURIOUS N’ FAST, SHAMWARI and MAKINO, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
