Trainer Altaf Husain was questioned with regard the poor performance of BRUT ROSE. The Trainer stated that BRUT ROSE was an ordinary filly and has not shown any form in her career except the previous run in Race No 50 where she ran 3rd, He said that he gave the filly a chance and declared a good Jockey this time. He added that the filly ran after a gap of 2 ½ months and after the race the Jockey has suggested to confine her over 1000 & 1200 metre races as he felt that 1400 metres was too long for her. He said that the filly’s pedigree suggests that she may tackle a mile and mile and a quarter, but she ran badly over 1400 metres. The explanation was noted.
An enquiry has been initiated in to the running and riding of QUANDO QUANDO and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, QUANDO QUANDO was found to be sound.
