Trainer Subhag Singh has been fined Rs.1000/- for using a Rubber Bit on his charge LAURUS PRIDE, for the use of which, no prior intimation was received. Trainer Adil Dajee was questioned with regard to the poor performance of his charge STAR BURST. The Trainer explained that the horse had worked well and therefore he had given him a chance but the horse did not produce the work out in the race. He added that possibly the horse became favourite considering the work out and Jockey Suraj Narredu riding. He added that the going may not have suited the horse as the horse ran on the Monsoon Track for the first time. Also, the horse was a maiden till date. When asked about the drift of odds on his charge, he added that GRANT PARK was backed in the race and that may have been the reason for the drift of odds. The explanation was noted. After the race, GRANT PARK was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. After the race, STAR BURST & KATRINA were found to be sound.
