Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of COUNTER POINT, reported that his mount was hanging 'in' throughout the Race; The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. Feroz M Khan was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. Trainer Mr. P C Tejaswi and Jockey S R Santosh Kumar were questioned as to the running and riding of AMAZING, in the above Race. The Trainer stated as follows; (a) As his charge is always slow at the Start, he had instructed his rider to try to take a good jump and position himself in the mid bunch (5th or 6th) and to ride it out in the straight; (b) But his charge missed the jump, could not get a clear run throughout the Race and as such, he could not be positioned in the mid bunch; (c) After the Race his rider told him that his horse started galloping only after it was pulled out and shown daylight; Jockey S R Santosh Kumar, while Corroborating the statement of the Trainer, stated that he was hampered for room, throughout the Race and as such he could not position his mount as per instructions and that his mount only started galloping when shown the daylight, by which time, the race was as good as over and that he could only finish fourth. Their explanations were noted.

As Jockey N Tauseef Ahmed, the declared rider of SCORPENE, was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the Fourth Race, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi to substitute Jockey Ajeet Kumar to ride SCORPENE in place of the declared rider. As Jockey S R Santosh Kumar, the declared rider of GOOD EARTH was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the Sixth Race and as no suitable substitute Jockey was available, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. P C Tejaswi to withdraw his charge, GOOD EARTH, from the above Race. Trainer Mr. S Santosh Rao and Jockey M Naveen were questioned regarding the running and riding of KING SMILE in the above Race; Trainer stated that (a) he had instructed the rider to take a good jump and be in the third, or fourth position & ride out and to do his best in the straight; (b) as per his observation, the horse took an awkward jump, whereby, the rider lost the position; (c) the pace became too fast and his charge could not cope up and (d) after entering the straight, the Jockey came on the outside and could only finish Fifth; The rider, when questioned, corroborated the statement of the Trainer as regards the riding instructions, added that (a) his mount took an awkward jump and he could not keep the pace with the other runners; and (b) after the bend, he moved from inside to outside and rode out, but, could only finish Fifth; Their explanations were noted. STAR LAGOON (M Madhu Babu) ran detached from the field; Trainer Mr. Rakesh was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
