Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. V Narayana Gowda to withdraw SOVIET UNION on veterinary grounds as it was observed to be trotting lame on right fore due to sprained tendon. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey M Rajesh Kumar, the rider of SECRET PRAYER, reported that his mount was hanging 'out' in the straight despite his best efforts and shifted out, thereby inconveniencing GRACE AND GLORY (Shobhan Babu), on his outside. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and it was reported that examination of the mouth of the horse revealed a small fresh injury at right oral commissure. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda was informed to take appropriate remedial Measures before accepting with it, again. SECRET PRAYER (M Rajesh Kumar) sustained bruises over both hind planter fetlock.
