Trainer Mr. Rakesh, when questioned, stated that this horse had the habit of being sluggish in the beginning and only picks up momentum later and after seeing its performance, he was contemplating to run it over a longer distance. Jockey A R Pradeep, the rider of SECRET TOUCH, was fined Rs.3,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount, during the Race. It was reported after the Race that the right fore shoe of PROTECTOR OF PARIS (S R Santhosh Kumar), had apparently come off, during the Race.
