As Jockey A Ashok Kumar, the declared rider of CARISA, was certified medically unfit to ride in Races, permission was granted to Trainer Mr Vikram Appachu to substitute Jockey Anil Baandal, to ride CARISA, in place of the declared rider. SPIRITUAL BLUE (V R Jagdeesh), whipped around soon after the start and thereafter, took no practical part in the Race. Jockey B Harish, the rider of MARKUS SITTICUS, was reprimanded for riding an indifferent Race. It was reported after the Race that the right hind shoe of SPINNING CHAKRAM (Nitin Singh) had apparently come off, during the Race. ETHOPIAN (P P Dhebe) sustained clipped injury on left hind outer bulb of heel. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b f SATELLITE.

Trainer Mr. S Padmanabhan was fined a total sum of Rs.20,000/- by the Stewards for failing to declare his charges DESERT GOD and VALIANT SPIRIT, to run in the above Race, after having accepted with them. Jockey M Prabhakaran, the rider of MADAME BOVARY was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting 'in' and causing interference to horses on his inside, viz., ABDERUS (Shobhan Babu) and ALL PROOF (P Trevor), within 100 Metres of the Start. Jockey Shivnath Paswan, the rider of GO MAN GO, was reprimanded for travelling wide, rounding the final bend, for no apparent reason. Jockey G Adarsh, the rider of CAPITALIZE, was reprimanded for riding and indifferent Race. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b m MADAME BOVARY.
