Jockey P Mani, the rider of PRINCE ASHWIN, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting ‘in’ and causing interference to SANDALWOOD STAR (S Mallikarjun) on his inside which, in turn, passed it on to POKEMON MASTER (Afsar Khan), approaching the 1200 Metres. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b g SAMRAT.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey M Madhu Babu, the rider of LUCKYNUMBERSLEVIN to the Stewards for Contravention of Calendar Notification under the heading ‘use of whips’ in that he excessively used the whip on his mount during the race (4th infringement during the meeting). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Jockey M Madhu Babu. After deliberations, they decided to withdraw the whip from Jockey M Madhu Babu with immediate effect till 1st March 2012 for Contravention of Calendar Notification under the heading ‘use of whips’ on his mount LUCKYNUMBERSLEVIN in the above race. Jockey J Paswan, the rider of WILD TEMPER, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement). MAN DOWN UNDER (Afsar Khan) sustained gum injury.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. S Santosh Rao to withdraw GAMBIT (Mohammed Shoaib) on veterinary grounds as it fell and sustained multiple injuries all over the body in the saddling enclosure. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. M Pratap Kamath to withdraw BOSTON RANGER (Janardhan Paswan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left hind (after getting loose and falling before saddling). He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey G Y Rajesh Babu, the declared rider of REFUSE TO BEND, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making the declared weight at the scales. Subsequently, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. T Natraj to substitute Jockey Vivek to ride REFUSE TO BEND in place of the declared rider. STERLING SPEED (Melvyn Maseyk) stumbled about 50 Metres after the start. RIVER GEM (M Noornabi) sustained gum injury. It was reported after the race that CROWN PRINCE (R Vaibhav) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. J Sharavanan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey Harish, the rider of CUTE STYLE, reported that his mount was hanging out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. C V G K Kishore was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b g NERMAI.

PARTY TONITE (P Mani) took a fly jump from the gates momentarily unbalancing the rider. Jockey A Ashhad Asbar, the rider of DREAM OF GOLD, was fined Rs.3,000/- for coming ‘in’ and causing interference to AZITA (S John), soon after jumping out of the Starting Gates and again, for coming ‘in’ and causing interference to MILAGRO (Mohammed Shoaib) on his inside, approaching the 1300 Metres. Jockey Nassar Alam, the rider of HAPPINESS, was fined Rs.1,000/- for travelling wide, rounding the final bend, for no apparent reason. Jockey A Ashhad Asbar, the rider of DREAM OF GOLD, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement). It was reported after the race that THEWORLDISMINE (Janardhan Paswan) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. M Pratap Kamath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. It was reported after the race that HIGH TREASON (Harish) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. C V G K Kishore was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of MILAGRO, was fined Rs.3,000/- for not making sufficient efforts on his mount during the race. An enquiry is being held into the relatively poor performance of AZITA (S John), trained by Mr. Z Darashah, as compared to its previous run in Race No.69 of the Mysore Winter Races 2011-12, held on Wednesday, the 4th of January, 2012, i.e., The Continual Trophy (About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 40, when ridden by Jockey P S Chouhan, it won the race. Jockey Shivnath Paswan, the rider of MISS RUBY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming ‘in’ and causing interference to HONEY BUZZARD (S John) on his inside approaching the 300 Metres. It was reported after the race that MISS RUBY (Shivnath Paswan) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. C Girinath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b g HURRICANE BAY.

As Jockey Afsar Khan, the declared rider of SWISS QUEEN, was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the Sixth Race, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi to substitute Jockey M J Gautam Raj Urs to ride SWISS QUEEN in place of the declared rider. Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. M Bobby to withdraw KINGDOM OF LOVE (S R Santosh Kumar) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right fore. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of PRECEPT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the final 150 Metres of the race. Jockey Saddam Hussain, the rider of WYNN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the final 150 Metres of the race. Jockey Shivnath Paswan, the rider of SPEEDY AMIGO, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the final 150 Metres of the race. Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of PRECEPT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement). Jockey Shivnath Paswan, the rider of SPEEDY AMIGO, placed Third by the Judge, lodged an objection against Jockey Saddam Hussain, the rider of WYNN, placed First by the Judge, for “when my horse was full of running, winner cut across me very sharply, whereby, I had to momentarily check the horse, which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined Jockeys Shivnath Paswan and Saddam Hussain. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

As Jockey S R Santosh Kumar, the declared rider of MY BOY was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the Seventh Race, permission was granted to Trainer T Natraj to substitute Jockey P Mani to ride MY BOY in place of the declared rider. It was reported after the race that ESTEGHLAL (A. Ashad Asbar) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. M. Eshwer was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
