Sandesh, the rider of REVELATOR (Placed Third) against GOLDEN GUEST (Neeraj Rawal, Placed Second). The reason being, at the 150 metres, Jockey Neeraj Rawal who was using the whip from the left hand, saw him on the outside and switched his whip to the right hand, moved out and took his ground whereby he had to stop riding for 2 to 3 strides, which cost him a certain second place, the verdict being a head. After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing as under:- HIDDEN GOLD - FIRST; GOLDEN GUEST - THIRD; REVELATOR - SECOND; SHARAREH - FOURTH In the above connection, the Stewards directed the Stipendiary Stewards to initiate action against Jockey Neeraj Rawal for careless riding on his mount GOLDEN GUEST. Accordingly, the Stipendiary Stewards decided to suspend Jockey Neeraj Rawal from riding in races for one Race Day i.e. on 21st February, 2021 for careless riding (permitted to ride work/mock race). In that, passing the 300 metres, GOLDEN GUEST was inclined outwards despite which in the final stages of the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal switched his whip hand to the right due to which GOLDEN GUEST shifted out taking the ground of REVELATOR (A. Sandesh). Jockey Akshay Kumar has been fined a sum of Rs. 5,000/- for failing to fulfill his riding engagements on GOLDEN GUEST (2nd race) and BEEMER (9th race). The Equine Hospital reported that JUNO’S GUEST had left eye injury (mild ulcer).
