Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge SWORD OF HONOUR in this race which the gelding won as compared to its previous run 6 days earlier in Race No.353 run on 20th April 2014 where he had finished eleventh, about 18 lengths behind the winner. The matter was reported to the Stewards for such action as deemed fit.
The Stewards after the last race interviewed Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha in the above connection. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha stated that there was no common horse in this race and the gelding was slow in the previous start.. Also, he had claimed 5 kg allowance and the gelding ran in a lower Class today as compared to previous time and he had to take a chance as it was the end of the current Mumbai Meeting. Further, he said that the gelding is the youngest horse in the race aged 4 years and the field in this race was very weak, BLUE SWALLOW who had placed second today, had finished about 4 ¾ lengths behind an 8-year-old horse, TARA in the previous race.
