Shyam Habbu when given an opportunity to explain the improved performance of his charge SHIVESH as compared to its previous run in Race No. 141 held on 16th February, 2019, stated that :- 1. It was the gelding's first start under me on 16th February, 2019 after it came to me from Tr. Manvendra Singh. 2. On 16th February the gelding ran over a distance of 1400 metres and it did not have initial speed to keep up with the field in spite of the Jockey's best efforts. 3. In Race No. 141 he came the shortest way home and could not get a clear passage at the top of the straight and just when he was making his run, he got interfered by VICE ADMIRAL. “Even after that he did show that he finished on”. 4. Today I put the gelding over the distance of a mile in the same class and this time the intial pace suited him and he was able to be positioned better in the race. 5. I also ran him with blinkers which got him more keen and helped him to better concentrate in the race. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanation.
