STRIKE IT LUCKY (App Dheeraj Singh) and ZANDRA (Zarar Alam) were fractious while being stalled. ROYAL CONCERT (Afzal Khan) was fractious in its stall. SECRET BUILDER (Sandeep Rajput) was slow to begin losing approximately 3-4 lengths at the start. During the concluding stages of the race BLAZING BULLET (P Trevor) and TIBETAN (Anil Baandal) made contact with each other when BLAZING BULLET shifted ‘outwards’ under pressure. When afforded an opportunity to explain the running of his mount TIBETAN, Jockey Anil Baandal stated that he was instructed to place his mount in 4th/5th position in the early and middle stages of the race and thereafter to do his best. However, he was unable to follow instructions as his mount was momentarily hindered at the start and thereafter he had to make progress on the outside of the field as his mount was lacking speed to make headway on the inside of the field and on entering the straight, on the wide outside of the field, the gelding failed to respond in spite of his best efforts. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanation. Jockey Zarar Alam, the rider of ZANDRA, reported loss of whip while negotiating the bend. The Veterinary Officer reported that FLY FLY returned with a cut injury on right hind.
