Prior to the running of the race Tr. Vijay Singh informed the Stipendiary Stewards that he had instructed the rider of his charge b g DIVINE DIMENSION (App Munna Alam) “to position his charge at the head of the field and should he be challenged for that position he would then be at the liberty to be positioned second”. After the race when queried by the Stipendiary Stewards as to why he had once again changed the running pattern of his charge, Mr. Vijay Singh stated that as the field consisted of only four runners and his charge was now being ridden by an apprentice claiming a 3 kgs allowance he was of the opinion that he should revert to the same pattern of running as was in Race No. 69 (start to finish) when it was the winner of the race. The Stipendiary Stewards were of the opinion that in spite of their earlier caution to the trainer (Race No. 184) regarding their reporting him to the Stewards for any substantial variation in the running pattern of this gelding, they would not be doing so in this instance but would be taking note of the same keeping in view the explanation of the trainer. The Veterinary Officer reported that DIVINE DIMENSION and DANCE IN CHINA returned lame on their left hind and left fore respectively. Trs. Vijay Singh and Vikash Jaiswal were informed not to accept with their respective charges until they are certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
