LA DOMINIQUE (Md Imran) was fractious in its stall. MY BOY LOLLIPOP (App Jorawar Singh) which was fractious in its stall was slow to begin. SECRET GLOSS (Sandeep Rajput) was slow to begin. Soon after the start OAK WOODS (P S Chouhan, drawn 7) and SECRET BLAST (App Md Javed, drawn 8) made contact with each other. Some distance after the start LA DOMINIQUE (Md Imran, drawn 4) and TEMPLE RUN (B Mahesh, drawn 2) made contact with each other. An enquiry was held immediately after the race with particular reference to the fall of SECRET BLAST (App Md Javed) passing the 800 metres marker. At the conclusion of the enquiry it was established that SECRET BLAST clipped the heels of MY BOY LOLLIPOP (App Jorawar Singh) and fell. As no blame could be attached to any rider, the ‘all clear’ signal was hoisted. App Md. Javed was immediately rushed to the Hospital for medical management. On immediate veterinary examination b g SECRET BLAST was found to be lame on left hind. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was informed not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer. SREEYANTRA (Md Islam) galloping along the rails was checked by its jockey and shifted ‘outwards’ to avoid running into SECRET BLAST, the fallen horse. TEMPLE RUN (B Mahesh) drifted to the outer portion of the race track when placed under pressure during the concluding stages of the race. BABY COME BACK (Arman Khan) ran detached from the field. Jockey P S Chouhan, the rider of OAK WOODS, when given an opportunity to explain the running of his mount stated that he was instructed to place the gelding in 3rd/4th position and when on jumping out of the gates he made contact with SECRET BLAST (App Md. Javed) as the gelding was inclined to drift ‘out’. Thereafter approaching the 800 metres marker despite his best efforts to improve, his mount failed to respond and consequently lost its position. However, on entering the straight the gelding made slow and steady progress despite his vigorous riding. The Stipendiary Stewards noted his explanation. The Veterinary Officer reported that MY BOY LOLLIPOP sustained a cut injury on right hind.
