An enquiry was held immediately after the running of the race with particular reference to the fall of App Md Javed, the rider of b h DANCE IN CHINA as the start was effected. During the enquiry it was established that the fall was due to the fractious behaviour of the horse in its stall at the moment the start was effected and that no blame could attached to any rider, as such the ‘all clear’ signal was hoisted. Ms. Arti Doctor, when questioned regarding the improved performance of ch g GALLOP TO GLORY as compared to its previous run in Race No. 20 – The Woolver Valley Cup on 30th July, 2013 where it ran unplaced, stated that the stable was disappointed with its earlier run and thereafter on the advise of Jockey Kishore Kadam who had exercised the gelding a tongue strap (TS) was put on. This appeared to have helped the gelding in its performance. The Stipendiary Stewards while noting the explanations, advised the stable to ensure that their horses are run with a degree of consistency between runs.
