CITY OF SAILS (G. Naresh) jumped out awkwardly losing about 1 or 2 lengths. Jockey A.A. Vikrant (MARINA DEL REY) was cautioned for shifting in 50 mtrs after the start in the process bumping SHANDAAR (Koushik). Explanation of Jockey Kuldeep Singh (PALACE ON WHEELS) in the presence of Trainer Laxman Singh that his instructions were to sit close with the front runners and to do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering into straight, but he accidently lost his whip at about the 400 mtrs and thereafter he has done his best in the straight was not accepted and the Jockey was fined Rs.10,000/- for losing whip at the crucial juncture of the race, thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage in the straight. CITY OF SAILS (G. Naresh) sustained bleeding cut injury over right hind. However, the gelding was trotting sound after the race.

Consequent to Jockey Praveen Gaddam having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey Aneel to be substituted on ASTRA. App. R. Ajay Kumar (LA ROMANCE) was cautioned to be more vigorous in his efforts in the initial stages of the race to be well up with the field. Jockey G. Naresh (STARLIGHT) was cautioned for travelling wide until entering the straight for no apparent reason. App. C.P. Bopanna (MAGICAL SKILL) was cautioned to be more vigorous in his efforts in the straight. ASTRA (Aneel) dropped back from about the 300 mtrs whilst travelling in front and finished the course distance behind.

CLARISA was observed to be trotting lame on left hind, as such the filly was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. Consequent to Jockey Praveen Gaddam having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey Koushik to be substituted on ARC OF HISTORY. Jockey Nakhat Singh (STAR GAZER) and App. Md. Ismail (VALLEE BLOOMER) were fined Rs. 2,000/- each for shifting in and out respectively soon after the start in the process causing interference to PRINCE CASPIAN (B. Dileep) racing in between. Trainer Ravinder Singh was fined Rs. 5000/- for inconsistent running of his charge ON THE FIRE (A. Ashhad Asbar) the winner, who finished off board in his previous race and the Trainer was further cautioned to ensure that his charges race more consistently in future, failing which he will be liable for severe disciplinary action as deemed fit. ARC OF HISTORY (Koushik) returned bleeding from both the nostrils. VANCOUVER (Akshay Kumar) returned bleeding from both the nostrils.

SKETCH OF BEAUTY (Koushik) was trotting lame on left hind due to back sprain, as such the mare has been permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. Consequent to Jockey Praveen Gaddam having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey Nakhat Singh to be substituted on MARKET LEADER. ASHWA ASHOKA (Aneel) stopped galloping from about 1100 mtrs. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was walking lame on left fore, as it was irreparable, the gelding was put to sleep on humanitarian grounds. App. Md. Ismail (SUNDAY CARNIVAL) reported that he lost his whip in the final stages of the race, as jockey Ajit Singh (VIJAY’S EMPIRE) who was travelling in close proximity hit his whip, as this confirmed our observation and this being purely accidental, no action beyond noting the same was taken. Jockey Ajit Singh was however, cautioned to be more careful in future. Explanation of Jockey Harinder Singh (ELYSIAN) that his mount did not show any initial speed inspite of his best efforts and was gaining ground only in the straight was confirmed by Trainer Arjun Anne, was noted for future reference.

Consequent to Jockey Praveen Gaddam having been declared medically unfit to ride, the Stewards permitted Jockey P. Sai Kumar to be substituted on GOLDEN IMAGE. ROYAL HERO (App. Md. Ismail) brushed out from the front gates along with blind folds and broke the railings, as such the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under starters orders. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was trotting lame on left fore due to shoulder sprain. Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar (HUMAAGHAR) reported that his mount was hanging in, in the straight more so under pressure inspite of his best efforts. Trainer C.V.G.K. Kishore was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race. App. R. Ajay Kumar (MY WINDFALL) was fined Rs.3000/- for drifting out 8 to 10 horses wide in the final stages of the race under use of whip. Trainer D. Netto was questioned with regard to the improved performance of his charge PRINCESS OF DREAMS (Kiran Naidu) the winner, who finished off board in her previous race to which the Trainer stated that his charge’s previous race was the first run of this season after a long layoff of about 6 months and thereafter the mare has improved during the morning trials, as such he opted to run her in the race which is for 5 year old & upward and in this race his charge could easily go to front and set her own pace and went on to win the race. The trainer further added that he has not fancied the mare and was available at longer odds was noted. The Trainer was however cautioned to ensure that his charges race more consistently in future, failing which he will be liable for severe disciplinary action as deemed fit.
