Trainer R.H. Sequeira was questioned with regard to the running of his charge THE SPECIAL ONE (Akshay Kumar) winner of this race, who finished 4th in the previous race to which the Trainer stated that his charge in the previous run, for the first time ran in a mile race where the gelding was gradually gaining ground and finished about 1 length behind the winner as such he opted to run in a 7 furlong race and also a better Jockey in the saddle added to his charges performance and just managed to win the race was noted. The Trainer was however, cautioned to ensure that his charges race more consistently in future, failing which he will be liable for severe disciplinary action as deemed fit. Explanation of Jockey Kuldeep Singh (SIYABONGA) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter when asked for an effort, the filly shortened her strides in the final stages of the race inspite of his best efforts was noted for future reference. SPACE SHIP (App. C.P. Bopanna) trailed the field throughout the race. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the mare sustained cut injury over left fore. However, the mare was trotting sound after the race.

Jockey Koushik (LONG RANGE) was fined Rs. 2000/- for shifting in at about the 900 mtrs in the process causing interference to CLASSY GUY (Nakhat Singh) who was racing directly behind on the rails. Jockey S.S. Tanwar (BLUE EMPRESS) reported that his mount was tending to run out throughout the race, in the process shifted out at about the 900 mtrs forcing out NAYADEEP (Ajit Singh) inspite of his best efforts, noted. Trainer Laxman Singh was advised to take remedial measures before next accepting in a race. Explanation of Jockey S. Zervan (ISABELLA) in the presence of Trainer Laxman Singh that he was denied a clear run between 800 mtrs to 600 mtrs as there was insufficient room between the railing and LIGHTNING FIN (Kiran Naidu) on the outside as such he could not improve his position and thereafter he has done his best in the straight was noted.

Permission has been granted to Trainer M. Srinivas Reddy to saddle DESERT GOD (A. Sandesh) on behalf of Trainer S. Padmanabhan at both the Trainers’ risk and liability.

Explanation of Jockey N. The Trainer was further warned to ensure that his charge race more consistently in future, failing which he will be liable for severe disciplinary action as deemed fit. Explanation of Jockey Akshay Kumar (ONE ONE ONE) that his instructions were to sit close with front runners and do his best in the straight which he tried to follow until entering the straight and thereafter his mount was gaining ground gradually inspite of his best efforts, noted for future reference. Explanation of Jockey A. Sandesh (MAN APART) that he felt something wrong with his mount in the final 300 mtrs, as such he stopped his riding in the final stages of the race was not accepted and the Jockey was fined Rs. 5,000/- for failing to persevere with in the final stages of the race. Subsequent Veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was trotting sound after the race, ESCALATING STRIKER (G. Naresh) sustained superficial injuries over both hind. However, the filly was trotting sound after the race.

Permission has been granted to Trainer Sk. Kassam to saddle AMARAVATHI (G. Naresh) on behalf of Trainer K.V. Srinivas at both the Trainers’ risk and liability. Permission has been granted to Trainer D. Netto to saddle PARIZAAT (App. Rafique Sk) on behalf of Trainer S.A. Shehzad Abbas at both the Trainers’ risk and liability. AALISHAAN (Koushik) planted and lost about distance, SSC revoked. Jockey A.A.
